Madonna grew up in Detroit. She lost her mother in young age. Her first deal was with the Sire Records. The album Like a Virgin, released in 1984, became her first number one album. Madonna married actor Sean Penn in 1985. Her third album, True Blue, topped the charts worldwide. In 1992 she founded her own entertainment company, Maverick. The single, „Beautiful Stranger“, scored her a „Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.“ Award. Madonna’s second marriage was in 2000 with Guy Ritchie. Madonna announced the release of her third live album Sticky & Sweet in March 30, 2010.

The band, Queen, formed in 1971. They started singing for EMI in 1973, and released their first album after that. The second release was followed by a UK tour aswell. Queen’s third album was called A Night at the Opera. They toured the US and Japan in 1976. After releasing more hits Queen spent much of 1979 touring in Europe and Japan, after which they released theird first live album. The single Raido Ga Ga became a worldwide hit. Queen released their 14th album, A Kind of Magic in 1986. Five years and three more albums later Freddie Mercury announced that he had AIDS. He died peacefully the day after. In 2002 Queen’s DVD Greatest Video Hits Vol. 1 was released. They were voted into the first UK Music Hall of Fame.

Elvis Aaron Presley was an American musician and actor. Elvis is often referred as „the King“. He died in 1977, at the age of 42. His last concert was on June 26, 1977, in Indianapolis.
Presley was born in Mississippi. He began his career in Memphis in 1954 with Sun Records. He started gigging with guitarist Scotty Moore and bassist Bill Black. Their first live performance took place at the Bon Air club. Presley signed a contract with RCA. His first number one hit was „Heartbreak Hotel“. Elvis made his movie debut with Love me tender in 1956. Presley was induced into the U.S. Army in 1958. Presley’s only child, Lisa Marie, was born on February 1, 1968. He divorced from his wife in 1972. On August 16, 1977, Elvis was scheduled to begin another tour, but that afternoon he was discovered unresponsive on his bathroom floor. Since that he has been induced into four music halls of fame.

He is ranked number 49 on the list of 100 greatest artists of all time. John can quickly make up melodies for lyrics. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. Elton John entered into a civil partnership with David Furnish in 2005. He has been ranked as the most successful male solo artist.

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, or Lady Gaga, was born in 1986. She is an American recording artist.
She was born in New York City. Gaga started playing piano at the age of 4. At 17, she decided to learn more about music and songwriting. She moved out of her parents’ house and started performing in the Lower East Side club scene. Throughout 2007 she collaborated with Lady Starlight. In 2008 Gaga started working closely with her debut album The Fame. The single „Poker Face“ reached number one in nearly twenty countries. Her first tour , The Fame Ball Tour, which began in 2009, recieved critical acclaim. Lady Gaga has recieved six Grammy Award nominations. She has won an award for the best dance recording.
